Once the malicious file is opened, it will be deployed onto the system, allowing the ransomware to be delivered by ransomware affiliates.The ransom message will include instructions for making a payment, usually in the form of a cryptocurrency such as Bitcoin, as well as details on what the payment will provide the victim. Typically, this includes a decryption key that will allow the user to regain access to their data.
