WAF Resource domain ownership verification problem

I added the TXT record to the DNS server with the string given in the add resource step but the status of the resource is still in "Pending Domain Verification". Clicking on Verify I get the error "The URL Was not Yet Verified. This process May Take Several Minutes". Doing an nslookup of the fqdn of the resource that was added I see the TXT record added on the DNS server.
